We aren’t raising orphans, we’re raising sons and daughters. That’s the mission of Helping Hands Healing Hearts Ministries, a 501(c)(3) ministry dedicated to serving Filipino children in crisis in Baguio City, Philippines.

With a 21-year legacy, we’ve served thousands of children and families across the Philippines. Through our Children’s Home, we provide residential care and education for children from a variety of crisis and trauma backgrounds. While family preservation is always our main goal, we support adoption and have been able to place over 50 children into forever families through local and intercountry adoption. Through our Children’s Recovery Unit, we provide practical, emotional, spiritual, and financial assistance toward children’s recovery from illness while in the hospital and after their release. Our current staff of 32 provides around-the-clock care to 35 children.

We would love to serve more children, but our space is limited. Our current facilities are retro-fitted homes that, after using for 11 years, are no longer well equipped for the demands and necessities of our work. From daily care of children to palliative care facilities, multipurpose flex spaces, and administrative capabilities, we need a space designed with the needs of our children in mind. We need a space purpose-built to serve the wide variety of needs that our team addresses.

After years of praying and believing, we’ve purchased a 3,235 square-meter plot of land in Tuba, Benguet, a few miles outside of Baguio City. Now, we’re raising money to begin construction on this property in 2024 before the monsoon season begins.

The Children's Village will be a haven for kids to come, heal, process, receive holistic treatment, and hopefully be reunited with their families. The property will have a Children's Home for those who need residential care, a Children's Recovery Unit for those who need medical care, a wing equipped for those with special needs, and a palliative care wing for those who need end-of-life care. The children we reach generally come from far-flung provinces where access to medical care is limited. Without our help, their chances of survival are limited. This land is strategically located in proximity to partner hospitals, as the well-being of our children is our top priority. The Children's Village will also serve as the hub for our community program which provides medical care to children across the Philippines who can remain in their own homes for medical treatment or recovery with our assistance.

With phase one of this campaign, we are seeking $105,000 to support the construction of the most fundamental of our facilities, our Children’s Home. This construction will enable us to eliminate a portion of our monthly expenses in rent and move into a space purposefully built with Helping Hands in mind. Every dollar of funds raised will go directly toward this effort to care for the children God has entrusted us.
