Help us build a Buddhist Temple in Rural Sri Lanka
Donation protected
My name is Jeevan Perera, and I am reaching out with a heartfelt request to support a meaningful cause. I am fundraising to build a Buddhist temple in a poor and rural community in Sri Lanka—one that desperately needs a place for spiritual guidance, learning, and community support.
The teachings of Lord Buddha emphasize the importance of spreading the Dhamma—the path to peace, wisdom, and liberation from suffering. When communities have access to the Buddha’s teachings, individuals can cultivate mindfulness, compassion, and right conduct. These teachings are not just about personal enlightenment; they shape entire communities, fostering harmony, kindness, and ethical living.
In many rural areas of Sri Lanka, people struggle with poverty, hardship, and a lack of proper guidance. Without a place to gather and learn, many young people grow up without the opportunity to understand the values of generosity, patience, and right effort. A Buddhist temple is more than a place of worship—it is a center for education, meditation, and community service. It nurtures good behaviors, strengthens moral values, and creates a culture of respect and kindness.
By building this temple, we will provide a space where monks can teach the Dhamma, where children can learn ethical values, and where families can come together to support one another. It will serve as a beacon of hope, helping people navigate life’s difficulties with wisdom and inner peace.
I invite you to be part of this noble effort. Your donation, no matter how small, will contribute to creating a place that will uplift an entire community for generations to come. Together, we can bring the light of the Dhamma to those who need it most.
May your generosity bring you peace and blessings.
