We’re raising funds as The R Way Group to bring Ridge Day! back to Ridgeway — a free, all-ages BBQ and community celebration rooted in joy, unity, and resilience.

Ridge Day! has been a beloved annual tradition for over a decade. More than just a BBQ, it’s a day of healing and togetherness in a neighborhood that has long faced systemic barriers — from underfunding to community violence. Ridgeway is a co-op housing neighborhood where many families live on modest incomes but continue to show strength, pride, and love for their community.

This year’s event will take place on the Ridgeway Community Courts — a vibrant, safe space built by and for the community in partnership with the Erin Mills Youth Centre.

Your donation will help cover key event costs, including:

BBQ food and refreshments

Bouncy castles, face painting, and an ice cream truck

Live DJ sets and performances

Honorariums for youth staff and volunteers

All activities are free to the community.

We’re proudly working in partnership with The Remix Project, who are acting as our trustee organization and supporting backend coordination.
