Help Us Bring My Husbands Kids Home to Safety and Stability

Hi friends, family, and kind strangers,

We’re reaching out during one of the hardest seasons of our lives — not for ourselves, but for three children, ages 7, 5, and 4, who need safety, love, and stability.

My husband is an active duty soldier stationed in El Paso, Texas. I work full-time as a CNA, and together we’re raising five amazing kids — two in middle school, two in elementary school, and one preparing to start college at UTEP. Our home is full of life, love, and stability, and we are ready and willing to welcome my husband’s children into that same care. But right now, they are in a situation that deeply concerns us.

Let us be clear: this is not about attacking their mother or her choices. We aren’t here to tear anyone down. This is about what we believe — with our whole hearts — is in the best interest of the kids. We’ve seen the emotional distress and the medical neglect that no child should have to endure. We’ve heard things no parent ever wants to hear. And after their mother moved them in with someone she had only known for six weeks (who has a documented history of domestic violence), we knew we couldn’t stand by any longer. We have doctors, therapists, and counselors ready in El Paso — and we’re ready to give them the full-time love and care they need to heal and grow.

At the same time, we're facing an uphill financial battle. We are doing everything we can to cover legal fees as his ex-wife’s family continues to fund her attorneys, filing motion after motion. In addition to raising our five children full-time, we are also paying child support for my husband's oldest son — all while fighting for custody of these three kids who need us now more than ever. On top of all that, the cost of traveling back and forth from El Paso, Texas to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for court has become another heavy burden.

Our next court date is August 19th, and we’re simply trying to make it there.

We’re not asking for help lightly — we are a proud, hardworking military family doing our very best.
