Our family isn't complete and we have been guided to adopting a girl from Columbia. With this process comes a need for extra funds. Total cost for international adoption are about $40k. We have had a ton of donations to help so far. Thank you. We anticipate that we will be traveling soon. We are awaiting those dates but to be proactive we are starting this go fund me in hopes that we can start booking flights and places to stay as soon as those dates are given to us. Most of these funds are going to the most exciting part of this process. Going and picking up our daughter in Columbia. Due to the process we aren't able to find the best deals because of the last minute nature of adoption. When we get the dates we'll have about 30 days till we leave. (Sometimes more or less) The Columbian government takes about 30 days to complete the full adoption process once we get there. Finding places to stay between the couple areas we are required to fill out paperwork can be expensive. Combine that with buying airline tickets with 30 days notice going out and a week notice coming back, we can see the cost on this going up.
