Help Us Bring Music Back Home: Piano Fundraiser for My Wife

My name is Romulus Meares, and my family’s home in Clyde, NC, was severely flooded by Hurricane Helene. Most of our belongings in the basement and first floor were waterlogged and damaged, including a piano I bought for my wife as a special gift on our second anniversary.

During the flood, I sat down at the piano and, on impulse, recorded myself playing "Mad World," a song I’d just learned over the summer. I wanted her to have something to look back on, as the piano was very dear to her, and I was almost certain it would be ruined.

Now that the waters have receded, we’re focused on getting back on our feet, and I’d love to surprise my wife with a new piano once we’re settled in a new home. Any support—whether it’s sharing our story or contributing—would mean the world to us.
