Hi, my name is Phyllis, I’m 21 years old and recently completed my BSc in Sociology at the London School of Economics (LSE).
I’m excited and deeply humbled to be leading a Christian outreach mission to Nigeria with Face of Joy International Charity, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support.
Our Mission:
We are heading to Nigeria to run school-based educational outreach programs alongside a Christian faith-based outreach. The goal is to reach both children in schools and young people in local communities, sharing tools for academic growth and spiritual encouragement.
This mission is for both believers and non-believers, centered on love, service, and building up the next generation with knowledge, compassion, and hope.
What We'll Be Doing:
Educational Outreach in Schools
– Organizing spelling bees, reading competitions, and literacy tests
– Donating books, school supplies, Face of Joy school bag kits, and learning materials
– Offering career and academic guidance, especially to underserved students
Christian Outreach to Youth & Communities
– Sharing the message of the Gospel in love and truth
– Hosting youth fellowship gatherings and prayer sessions
– Distributing Bibles and faith-based literature
– Creating safe spaces for questions, conversations, and encouragement
We believe education and faith are two powerful tools that can transform lives and we want every child and young person we meet to know that their life has purpose, value, and potential.
Why We Need Your Support:
While we’re donating our time, energy, and hearts, this mission also requires financial support to cover:
Books and educational materials
Outreach supplies
Transportation to and within Nigeria
Food and care packages for families in need
Venue and logistics for outreach events
Every single donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. Whether it’s £5 or £500, you are planting a seed in a young person’s life.
Join Us:
This mission is not just mine: it’s ours. By supporting this outreach, you are standing with young students in Nigeria and saying “I believe in you.” You are helping us bring joy, hope, and opportunity to those who need it most.
Even if you can't give, please share this with friends, churches, or anyone who might feel called to help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With love and faith,
Phyllis
