MAKE DANCE HISTORY WITH US!

After 19 years of producing New York City’s largest dance event, Dance Parade is bringing the celebration to Philadelphia on September 14, 2025! In the wake of the University of the Arts’ closure last year, we’re more determined than ever to unite the vibrant dance community and share the culture and passion of dance with Philadelphia’s residents.

We are proud to announce that the legendary Joan Myers Brown, founder of the renowned Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco), will serve as our Grand Marshal. She will lead the parade of thousands of dancers from more than 50 unique styles, with the celebration marching down the Ben Franklin Parkway and culminating at the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art.

OUR PROGRESS SO FAR:

We’ve assembled a dedicated Philadelphia-based team, reached out to hundreds of dance companies, and worked closely with city agencies to ensure every detail is in place for this momentous event. Now, we need your help to cover the final expenses, including permits, police, EMS, sanitation services, and more. These crucial costs are the last hurdle before we can bring this vision to life!

YOUR IMPACT:

A generous board member has pledged to match every donation, up to $1,000, by the end of our campaign on July 15th! Your contribution will be doubled, making your impact even greater.

As a heartfelt thank you for your generosity, all donors contributing $100 or more will be recognized as Parade Pioneers, with your name permanently listed on the Dance Parade Philadelphia website as part of the team that launched this historic event. And for those who contribute $500 or more, you’ll also be celebrated as Parade Pillars — honoring your vital role in building the foundation for this inaugural parade and ensuring its success for years to come.
