Help Us Bring Comfort to Children in Mental Health Care
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Jia Li Puma Stehlik, and I’m a student at Drexel University deeply passionate about mental health, accessibility, and disability advocacy. As part of my work with the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement and the College of Nursing and Health Professions’ Board of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, I am organizing a fidget toy and sensory item drive to support children receiving outpatient mental health services at the Hall-Mercer Community Behavioral Health Center in Philadelphia.
Hall-Mercer provides vital mental health support to children navigating anxiety, trauma, developmental challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties. Many of these children benefit significantly from tools like fidget spinners, sensory rings, plushies, and handheld games—items that help them stay calm, focused, and emotionally supported during therapy and treatment.
We’re raising funds to purchase high-quality sensory and comfort items, including:
- Fidget toys (pop-its, spinners, stress balls)
- Weighted plushies and Squishmallows
- Sensory rings, putty, and tangle toys-
- Mini puzzles, Rubik’s cubes, and wind-up games
Even a small donation can make a huge difference in creating a supportive and engaging space for these children. Your generosity will directly fund the purchase and delivery of these items before our collection deadline on June 1st.
