Scared of the unknown. Being vulnerable and needing some support.

My favorite holiday with my mom and sisters used to be the Fourth of July. She would buy a bunch of candy, and we would sit on the banks while watching fireworks over the river in Sioux City. I was going to call her this Fourth of July to let her know that. Before I had the chance, my sister Tatum called and told me mom was found unresponsive at home. She was stabilized by EMS and then transported to INTEGRIS Baptist in Oklahoma City by life flight. She is fighting for her life right now. But she has great support around her. She had aneurysms that caused this injury. One of them was mostly repaired due to being emergent. A drain was placed in her brain to reduce pressures. She was on the ventilator for almost 3 days. Every day has been different, with one step forward and 1/2 back. It has been a struggle mentally on us sisters, but we will not leave her side. One of us will always be with her until she is out of the ICU. All three of us sisters are still in need of working 40 hours per week but chose to be with Mom as much as possible. She will be in ICU for at least 21 days, and we are taking turns being up there with her in her room by her bedside. We have broken down, bickered, and supported each other for the last nine days. Being an advocate for your parent when their life is at stake has been rough. I know we will all get through this. I have never prayed so much in my life!

Now that you know, I am writing to ask for support. It would allow us girls to help mom. If you cannot help monetarily, that is OK. We just ask for support by praying and positive thoughts.
