Help Two Belgian Nuclear Advocates Bring Science to COP30 in Brazil

We’re Christophe Corazza and Emeric Massaut, two Belgian engineers and climate advocates who’ve spent years fighting for a sustainable future — one powered by nuclear energy. Our mission? To prove that nuclear is not just part of the climate solution, but essential to it.

You may remember our pro-nuclear projection on the Tihange 1 cooling tower, a bold protest against its planned closure that went viral across Belgium and beyond. That action showed the world what’s at stake: losing clean, low-carbon nuclear power when we need it most. You can see some of the photos on this page.

Now, we’ve been invited to take this fight to the global stage: COP30 in Belém, Brazil, this November. With official Blue Zone access, we’ll be inside the negotiations, engaging directly with policymakers, youth delegates, and energy experts: representing Belgium’s nuclear voice where it counts.

We’ve attended UN climate summits before—COPs, SBs, SDGs—always self-funded, because we believe nuclear energy deserves a seat at the climate table. But this year, the challenges are unprecedented: Just this week, our hotel offer for two people jumped from €2,500 to €10,000 overnight, without warning and with very little explanation. Combined with soaring flight costs, the financial burden is overwhelming. Unlike large NGOs or government delegations, we rely solely on our personal savings and the support of people like you.

This is a pivotal moment for Belgium and the world. Right now, Belgium is debating decisions that will determine the future of its nuclear capacity. Meanwhile, COP30 will shape the global energy narrative for the next decade. If nuclear isn’t represented, it risks being left out of the conversation entirely.

That’s why we’re asking for your help. Every contribution will go directly toward:
• Our Flights from Belgium to Belém (~1600€ per person, in the most uncomfortable flight routing)
• Accommodation near the COP venue, near the Belgian delegation for best cooperation

With your support, we’ll bring nuclear’s message of science, reason, and climate responsibility to the world’s most important climate conference. We’ll work directly with ministers, ambassadors, and NGOs—and we’ll keep you updated with photos, videos, and reports from inside the negotiations. Larger doners can also request to be mentioned in social media post we will do during and after the COP30.

If you believe in evidence-based climate solutions, if you’ve stood with us before, or if you want to help young engineers fight for a realistic energy transition :

Please consider supporting us.

Together, we can ensure Belgium, and nuclear energy, are heard loud and clear at COP30.
