I know most of you have been following Phoenix's story over these past few years, but the time has finally come that I am legally adopting him!

To make a long story short, his bio mom is willingly signing her rights over to relieve herself of any and all responsibilities pertaining to him, but in order for her to do that, he needs to be legally adopted, which is what we are trying to raise these funds for! We have had just a short 6 weeks to do so!

Even though this sounds like simple uncontested paperwork, somehow it still costs a flat rate fee of $3,500 to obtain the proper lawyer. We are doing everything in our power to have this paid by April 22nd when we need to show proof of moving in the right direction to the courts.
