I’m reaching out to ask for help for my father, Theodore Marois—known to many in our town as Uncle Ted. At 80 years old, Uncle Ted has always taken pride in his home and has spent years welcoming neighbors, hosting cookouts, and sharing his warmth with everyone around him. His generosity and kindness have made him a beloved figure in our community.
Uncle Ted was born in this house, which has been in our family for over 160 years. Unfortunately, his home is now in urgent need of repairs that he cannot manage on his own. His roof is starting to fail and leak, which threatens to cause mold and unsafe living conditions. The chimney also needs sealing, and the insulation around it must be replaced. Uncle Ted owns his home, but with no income, he simply cannot afford these essential repairs. To keep his home safe and dry for the years ahead, he hopes to install a durable metal roof.
Uncle Ted has always been someone who worked hard and never asked for help, but now he truly needs it. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward making his home safe, warm, and comfortable again. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean so much to us. Thank you for taking the time to read Uncle Ted’s story and for any support you can offer. Your kindness is deeply appreciated.
