Please help our sister Avigayil.

Avigayil has been in the middle of a painful divorce process for almost three and a half years now. What should have been a straightforward path to moving on has instead left her and her children in a constant state of limbo.

Most urgently: Avigayil recently learned that the marital home she lives in with her two children (aged 10 and 13) was sold without her knowledge or consent, at significantly below market value. Because the deed was listed only in her husband’s name, the sale went through without her input, and she did not receive any of the proceeds even though the house is a marital asset. She only found out about the sale when a representative of the buyer came to the door to inform her, while her children were present. Eviction proceedings are now underway, and she and her children face the possibility of losing their home without funds to procure a new one.

Avigayil has also been shouldering the cost of tuition and medical care for her children. She is struggling to pay tuition, and her children will be in danger of getting kicked out of their schools for nonpayment.

Moreover, Avigayil remains unable to finalize her divorce. For almost 3.5 years, she has been waiting for a get (Jewish divorce). The prolonged process has forced her to navigate multiple settlement discussions, shifting negotiations, and mounting stress.

We are raising funds to help Avigayil retain an attorney, ensure a stable home, keep her kids in their schools, and pursue the steps necessary to obtain her get and move forward with her life.
