Help Ukrainian refugees arriving in Winnipeg

Hi, my name is Antonina, and I am fundraising for the Ukrainian community in Winnipeg. My mom and brother left Ukraine in March 2022 due to the war. The journey has been overwhelming, to say the least, and we could not have done this without the support of our community. Over a week in transit, sleepless nights, four countries later, and finally they are now safe in Winnipeg. This welcoming and supportive community made them feel safe and welcomed. We are now looking to help other families that are arriving in Winnipeg in the next few weeks and months, most of whom are women and children. Items that are needed the most are:

Why now? In addition to people that are arriving in Winnipeg every week, there is a charter flight from Poland that is arriving on May 23rd. I will be going to Winnipeg on May 25th to help and support in any way we can, together with my mom and brother. 

With this donation, you are putting food on the table for families in need and equipping children to be able to continue their studies. I will work together with the UNF Winnipeg community to distribute all supplies to those in need.

 

We are so thankful for all the people that have helped and supported Ukraine during this horrible invasion by Russia. Every penny counts and helps people get through this difficult time of our country being torn to pieces, being separated from loved ones, and losing our brave brothers and sisters that are fighting for peace.
