Ukraine Field Hockey Fundraiser

Hi Everyone,

The Ukraine Women's National Field Hockey Team has requested our assistance to raise finances for them to attend the European Championship in August 2022 in Lithuania. We met them in 2019 at an event and have stayed in touch since and throughout the war.

The funds will be used for travel and lodging for them to practice in Lithuania before the games begin.

The Ukraine Field Hockey Team has been able to find refuge in Germany. However, many of their loved ones remain in Ukraine.

Preparing for a hockey tournament amid war is difficult to comprehend. Having played for the USA National Team, I can't imagine the strength and resilience needed to continue representing your country while loved ones are in danger.

With the upcoming European Championship approaching this August, here is an opportunity for the worldwide field hockey community (and anyone else who would like to contribute) to come together to show solidarity and support. Of all the stresses they are enduring, it would be wonderful to help alleviate some of the financial pressure.

Let's rally around the team so they can proudly represent their country.

We recently spent some time in Germany and met refugees from around the world, including Ukraine. Hearing the stories firsthand from Ukrainians was very powerful - the destruction, violence, and dangerous journey to escape are unimaginable.

Any contribution you can make would be massively appreciated.

100% of the funds will go directly to the team. We are coordinating with Ukraine National Team Head Coach Svetlana Makaieva and team captain Yevheniya Moroz.

Blockstar Field Hockey will donate a portion of all sales to the Ukraine National Team (from now through August).
