Update: We are urgently seeking additional help for Udi as he fights an aggressive and complicated cancer. We have been given a rare and hopeful opportunity: an innovative, newly approved treatment. This therapy uses a patient’s own immune system to fight cancer and has shown promising results in multiple cases.
Udi has already endured so much. He was hospitalized at Toronto General for 7 weeks, underwent radiation, and has completed two rounds of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to his intestines, causing repeated and life-threatening obstructions. He has suffered five obstructions so far, leading to multiple hospitalizations and even being placed in palliative care.
Although a groundbreaking procedure briefly helped, the cycle continues the cancer causes obstructions, and the obstructions prevent him from receiving treatment.
Now, this new therapy offers hope where traditional treatments have failed.
The plan involves specialized blood treatment in Tokyo, storage and continued care in Toronto, and additional testing in Los Angeles. The cost of the treatment alone is $55,000 USD, not including travel and further medical expenses.
This is a self-funded treatment, and time is critical.
We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone. Any support, big or small, will help give Udi a real chance to keep fighting.
Every contribution becomes hope, becomes strength...Becomes part of Udi’s battle to survive.
