Help UCPiP Buy a Vehicle to Protect Palestinian Communities
One of the most brutal ways that Israel’s occupation of the West Bank impacts Palestinian life is by restricting their freedom of movement. Nearly 800 checkpoints and roadblocks fragment the territory, making travel difficult on good days and impossible on bad ones.
As Unarmed Civilian Protection in Palestine (UCPiP) prepares to deploy our first team of 7 trained civilian protectors to the South Jordan Valley, we urgently need your help to raise funds for a vehicle.
A car is not just transportation; it is a tool of protection and presence. It allows our protectors to:
Respond quickly to emergencies and settler attacks in Mu’arrajat and neighboring communities
Support community evacuations during road closures or threats
Transport villagers to hospitals or safer areas when ambulances are blocked
Reach isolated communities to accompany harvests or herding
Show a visible international presence; a deterrent to settler violence
Importantly, a vehicle enables us to use our passport privilege in moments when Palestinians are blocked, helping navigate past checkpoints to bring urgent support where it’s needed most.
We are raising $20,000, which will cover:
The purchase of a durable, 4*4 and multi-passenger vehicle
Registration and licensing
Insurance coverage for both the West Bank and Israel
Associated bank and transfer fees
As a grassroots, non-profit project led by Palestinians and supported by global solidarity partners, we rely entirely on donations from people like you to make this work possible.
Every contribution helps us stand alongside communities facing systemic violence with courage, compassion, and nonviolence.
Please donate today, and share this with your networks.
