University of the Arts announced their abrupt closure on Friday. Our hearts go out to everyone effected.
GET ACCEPT'D has generously worked on developing the platform, specifically for UARTS students, across all majors (Performing and Visual Arts) to get their Media and contact info to Programs all over the Nation.
This is for Incoming Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. These 90+ programs have committed to helping where they can, taking transfers, helping with FAFSA and scholarship coordination and giving these students a safe place to land, with wonderful training and open arms.

There are 1400 students affected. We know not all will need this platform, but we are ready for them all. The cost of the platform is usually a cost of $35-50 per application, so this is a $35-50K project. This platform is being offered at NO CHARGE to UARTS students/families, UARTS Faculty AND the Programs. However, there are costs incurred from the Build Out of the Platform, the cloud storage of the students materials, the administration of the site from the Get Acceptd Team. We have pledged our own services at no charge.
The reason, we are doing a Gofundme, is that we didn't want to put a donation button on the application itself as these families are facing uncertainty. However, so many people have asked how they can help and if they can sponsor a students application. Any money raised over the ACTUAL cost will be donated back to the the UARTS community in form of scholarship for students that need help bridging the gap of transfer, or getting out of leases etc. We will work with the parents of UARTS students to make sure we are good stewards of any finds, if there is money left over.
