We are fundraising for my step-kiddo Typhon, he recently turned 18 and is pretty much on his own.. I unfortunately had to leave Nevada County after his father's death in 2021 but am trying my best to still support him and his brother to the best of my abilities. Here is a little something he wrote, just to make it more personal to him.

"I just turned 18 am I am needing a jump start financially. As many of you know, Nevada County is spread out and in order to successfully obtain and keep a job, a car is a necessity. I really want to work and make my own way so I can move forward in life and help my brother get through the next few years until he is old enough to join me in the work force. The past few years have been hard on us, and I feel it is my responsibility to do what I can to make things start to flow more easily for my family. Many of you know my Pops and how he lost his life to Severe Bipolar Manic Depression and Alcoholism. Before he died, he left my brother and I a little money which is no longer available to us, and we are trying to make him proud regardless.

I hate to ask but being that we have had to endure so many obstacles recently I humbly am seeking help from my community.

He is kind, responsible and an amazing young man, we couldn't be any prouder of the person he is growing up to be. Any little bit helps!
