Hello, I’m Castiel Greene. Last year, 2 days after my birthday, my mother had kicked me out of the house for not wanting to convert to Christianity. Since then I’ve been living with a friend and their family. But I can’t stay here because back at my mom’s, I have 3 cats I need to reunite with permanently and comfortably. They are my whole world and I miss them dearly. They are my reason for life.

Job hunting is especially hard right now. I get rejected for being transgender or by some AI bot before it even reaches a real person. FASFA has also denied my application because the county wont acknowledge that I’m homeless. So I have no money to my name and it’s hard begging friends/family for money to save up to move out quick enough. Especially when the money I am able to get, it goes towards my groceries or cats back at home. My brothers are struggling to keep up with my cats expenses on top of their cats, as well as other bills and rent. Which is one of the main reasons I need to secure a stable home for them without draining my brothers wallets. It isn’t fair to any of them.

My friend, who is also struggling to find a permanent home after getting kicked out, and one of my brothers, who’s trying to move out from my mothers hell, are saving up their paychecks to move out with me by the end of March.

We’re currently looking at houses on the cheaper side, but our best bet is an apartment complex that I have personal connections to. The rent and bills will be split 3 ways, we’re looking at about $1,000 per person monthly. This doesn’t account for security deposit, pet deposit/rent, and rent of 1st and last month. (I hate how much this country depends on money for everything, trust me :( )

The money from this fund raiser is to help me cover my part of everything, rent for the first month, and have some money for my cats until I find stable income. It means a lot to me that they’re even considering me in this move. I know times like these are rough and difficult for everyone right now. None of this is easy. But I thank you for reading my reasons as to why I need help right now. Being gay and trans is not an easy life to live/lh
