Help two Sierra Leone Soccer kids towards college
NSSA x Football for A New Tomorrow (FANT)
Our mission at NSSA and FANT, is to select two young athletes, one of each gender who will be given the opportunity of a brighter future. Through their athletic and academic profile, the two chosen athletes will be guided towards enrolment into an American college through a scholarship.
Our job as company is to find not only the best possible fit for the student in terms of the academics and athletics, but also in terms of the financial aspect of being a student-athlete at an American College. One thing is clear, our goal with the project, is that the chosen athletes will not have to pay for anything themselves but will be funded 100% - a so called full-ride.
We will throughout the year do our outmost in order to find the best possible scholarship package, but we must also be realistic in that the offer they receive may not be a full 100% scholarship covering everything from tuition, room and board to insurance, books and other fees. If the athletes that we choose end up not getting the experience fully covered through a scholarship, we at NSSA would be heartbroken to have to cancel the project, due to a smaller monetary shortfall.
It is because of these reasons we are seeking financial funding. The funding will firstly pay for our travel expenses associated with Sierra Leone. Furthermore, we would love to fill a couple of travel bags with training equipment for the children at FANT’s camp. All the donated funds will after this go straight into a bank account which will be reserved to pay for costs that the chosen young athletes will need in the process of studying in America.
The two athletes chosen by NSSA and FANT will be given a life-changing opportunity. We at NSSA, being a small company with limited financial capacity, can only support them financially to a certain extent. Our biggest contribution will be provided through the fact that all our work and efforts in this project will be free of any charge. Free labor is however not enough to see an initiative like this successfully through, and we would therefore appreciate any financial help we can get. This will directly help us achieve this social project as a company, so we can safely help change the lives of two young talents from Sierra Leone for the better.
