The McQuade Family Christmas Lightshow 2025 is taking donations for 2 families we met through Valerie's House - a grief counseling organization that helps children grieve the loss of a loved one. This year we decided to be a blessing 2 families.

Family #1- The Anderson's were a military family. Kyle, Heather & their 5 children lived in many places due to Kyle's work as a firefighter. Tragically, Kyle was killed in an accident, while living in Tampa, FL, just three weeks before his retirement. Despite this immense loss, Heather and their children remained steadfast in their plans to relocate to Fort Myers. Valerie’s House provides them with hope and unwavering support, becoming an integral part of their healing journey.

Family #2, led by Mary, a grandmother, shares a heart-wrenching story of the loss of her son and the father of her grandchildren. During a vacation in Puerto Rico, their son tragically drowned while attempting to save his daughter, Piper. This family had already suffered loss when just three years prior, their mother had passed away due to an illness. Now, Grandma Mary, along with the children’s maternal grandparents, are raising the three children. Valerie’s House has become a source of solace and support for them during this difficult time.
