Today, I met two elderly sisters at In-N-Out—one is 80 years old and the other is 90. They were sharing a single burger, and it broke my heart to see them struggling. When I spoke with them, I learned that they had just been evicted and are now living in their car. The younger sister, aged 80, is caring for her older sibling, aged 90, and both have been through so much, including a recent hit-and-run accident. Despite everything, they remain hopeful, but their situation is dire.

They told me they’ve been to the hospital four times because of the cold nights spent in their car. They have no family or friends to turn to, and their resources are extremely limited. I was able to give them some money, and their gratitude was overwhelming—they cried and shared their story with me on video. It’s clear they need help more than anyone right now.

The funds raised here will help them with basic needs like food and hygiene, and most importantly, give them a chance to find safe shelter. If we could get them off the street and they don’t have to sleep in the car anymore and get a cold and go to the hospital, that’s all we need.
