Our hearts are broken having to suddenly and unexpectedly put our beloved horse, Chance, down. Chance had developed a huge lump in his neck and was unable to breathe. After having the vet come to the barn and try unsuccessfully to help him, we had no option but to take him to Lexington hospital where they inserted a breathing tube while they tried to figure out what was wrong and how to help him. After the two-night stay, they informed us that we should have him put down so that he would not have to suffer.

As some of you know, Troy has not been able to work for 8 months due to having a knee injury and subsequent total knee replacement. He lost his two best friends within 8 days and now owes $4,000 to the animal hospital for treating, euthanizing, and burying Chance.
