Please Help Me Support a Local Cat Caregiver in Gresham, Oregon
My friend Trish has been caring for a feral cat colony in Gresham, Oregon for many years. The cats at her apartment complex depend on her completely. She feeds them daily, gets them TNR’d when she can, provides vet care out of her own pocket, and has even helped some leave street life behind by getting them into rescue for adoption.

I met Trish through cat rescue several years ago and have seen firsthand the love, dedication, and sacrifice she pours into these animals. She has often put the cats’ needs ahead of her own.
Right now, Trish is facing a crisis.
She has been underemployed and searching for full-time work for months. Several job opportunities fell through at the last minute, & now she is at risk of losing her housing. She needs help catching up on nearly three months of back rent plus late fees, & paying for March.

Without stable housing, she cannot continue caring for the colony that depends on her. Without a caregiver, these cats become more at risk, and will continue to reproduce unchecked. Apartment management has already threatened several times to take extreme measure to remove the cats. Without Trish, there is no one to advocate for them.
Trish has no family left and a very limited support network. What she does have is an incredibly loving, resilient spirit.

She is always the first to offer kind words, hope, and encouragement to others — even when she herself is struggling.
Sometimes rescuing animals means supporting the people who care for them. If Trish loses her housing, the colony loses their caregiver.
If you are able to give, even a few dollars, it will truly make a difference. Every dollar helps.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this post to help us reach more people.

It takes a village — and right now, Trish and her cats need theirs.
