On February 12, my brother was admitted into the emergency room with abdominal pain and shortness of breath. After two days of observation and several tests, he was diagnosed with pre-pneumonia and an inflamed appendix. The next day, he had to have surgery to remove his appendix. He was then required to take a week of bed rest.
