My name is Ashley. My brother, Trevor Havreluk and his family recently lost their garage due to a fire.
My brother, Trevor, was injured in the fire and sustained third-degree burns to his left hand. Tragically, the fire also took the life of their beloved dog, Timber, a loyal companion and cherished member of the family.
The fire destroyed all of Trevor’s equipment and tools for his small business, Havreluk Tree & Property Management, representing a significant financial loss. In addition, the family lost a freezer full of meat intended to last the year, along with many personal belongings. For the children—Bentley, Anderson, and Liza—this included all of their outdoor toys and equipment.
Beyond the physical losses, the garage itself held deep meaning for this family. It was more than a workspace—it was a gathering place and social hub where friends and family came together, shared meals, celebrated milestones, and made memories. Losing this space has been emotionally devastating, compounding the hardship they are already facing.
Trevor and his wife Katie are hardworking, devoted parents who have always provided for their family through determination and perseverance. They are now navigating medical expenses, the cost of replacing essential tools and equipment, and the everyday needs of raising three young children during an incredibly challenging time. It’s especially hard right now as this is a slower time of year for his work.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden and provide support as they recover and rebuild. Funds raised will go toward medical expenses, replacing essential business equipment, basic household needs, and helping the children regain a sense of normalcy. They did have insurance but will not get the full amount of everything they lost.
Any contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Trevor, Katie, Bentley, Anderson, and Liza in your thoughts.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. ❤️
