Hello, it hurts that I’m here but my family really needs some help.

My boyfriend, Travis, experienced his first seizure on December 17th while at work.
He was rushed to Regions where they only kept him for two hours, told us he’d be released with medication (which he was not released with), take a few days off of work, and we’d be okay. So, he was discharged and we came home for about three hours before the second seizure hit, and he was rushed back. I was told Travis was going to be admitted for 2 days to a week, and he wasn’t even there for a full 24 hours.
We were misguided and not given the right information on what was going on and the next steps.
Fast forward a week, we get a letter to return to work. They told us no problem, we pick up the doctor's note, and it said something completely different from what they told us.
Travis cannot return back to work until cleared by a neurologist. Our first appointment was April 18th.
Regions didn’t even note him as an urgent patient like they were supposed to, so we had to call back and fight for that. We got on an urgent list, and then the appointment was moved to March. Since then, we’ve taken matters into our own hands and got an earlier appointment for neurology! That was January 29th. He was not cleared back to work due to a new Minnesota state law. Anyone who experiences a seizure must hit a 3-month mark to be cleared for work.
Travis did not have health insurance when this happened, so our first few visits we were paying $150 just to get through the doors. We have gotten him insurance to cover some of these costs, but with all the bills, we’re unsure we’re gonna be able to pay insurance again in February on top of truck payments and food.
His next appointments are March 9th for EEG testing and March 19th (that’s his 3-month mark). In hopes everything continues to go at the rate it has been or better, he then will be cleared for work.
Our biggest stress right now, on top of all the medical bills, is that where we live, we get housing for part of the payment he does for work here as maintenance, and if for some reason he loses his job, we could lose our home in 24 hours.
If we can have some help getting at least half our down payment, it would take away a lot of stress.
Getting at least half down would secure our housing.
We’ve been really trying to stay positive to make everything else work/happen.

Also, in this time, I have started working for the first time in 7+ years just to keep money coming in. But I can’t work too much or I’ll lose my insurance and then won’t be able to not only afford everything else but my oldest son's diabetic medication. So, I am only part-time.
We receive no help.
No SNAP.
No daycare.
No money, no, no, and no.
We’re still in the process of medical leave. And we’re running out of money fast, we’re getting scared.
We have very little family and just need love and support if that’s all you can give in this time.

Thank you in advance for just taking the time to read this.
If you’d like to reach out to me, please feel free. We could use company in this time as well.
