Friends of Newland Park & Playground is a community-led group that came together to restore our corner park and playground to be a safe and inviting resource for everyone.

The improvements are the result of many volunteers donating their most precious resource, their time. But some of our projects will require financial resources beyond those available from the City of Boston. We are so grateful to anyone who wants to donate.

All of the improvements to the park so far have been provided by generous neighbors. Additional funds will be used to help pay for future landscaping projects, seasonal plants and decor, lighting, Miriam Knapp sculpture restoration and miscellaneous equipment needed to keep the parks clean and safe.

Our group has worked closely with Boston Parks & Recreation and they have been very responsive to our requests to fix the fencing and bollards and help with much needed tree maintenance. We will continue to work with them to make Newland Park & Playground an amazing neighborhood gathering place.
