As the strongest storm ever recorded to hit the island, Hurricane Melissa brought catastrophic devastation to Jamaica with violent winds, extreme rainfall, flooding, and mudslides. The storm made landfall on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, as a Category 5 hurricane with winds of 185 mph, leaving widespread damage across the country.

My community was destroyed; leaving houses flat to the ground, roofs blown off, lots of flooding, and trees falling on the roads and on houses leaving many persons homeless. I am seeking help to fix back my family home rooftop and to assist my other family members and friends in need.
