Help Towa Start Kindergarten in January

Dear friends and family,

We’re reaching out with a special request for our daughter, Towa. As many of you know, Towa’s third birthday is on January 5th, 2025. We’ve found a wonderful kindergarten, Drumduan in Forres, where she’s already been accepted and feels right at home. Towa has been attending the Seedlings Group, a pre-kindergarten class at Drumduan, and she’s absolutely thriving there. It’s a place where she feels comfortable and happy.

Government funding for children born in January and February starts in April, but Drumduan begins the new school year in January regardless of the funding. We understand the importance they place on forming the group energy and want Towa to start her Kindergarten journey with her peers from the beginning. However, without the funding, we’re left to cover the costs for the first three months on our own.

The cost for Towa to attend three days a week is £640 per month, totalling £1920 for the three months. If necessary, we could consider a two-day-a-week option, reducing the monthly cost to £425, but every day in kindergarten is valuable time for us as parents to focus on improving our financial situation.

We need to inform Drumduan by the 16th of October whether Towa will be able to start in January. We are most grateful for any donations we can receive until then. Once we see what we’ve managed to raise, we can decide how often Towa can attend, or if she will have to wait until April.

As much as we want to give Towa this opportunity, our current finances make it difficult to manage this alone. That’s why we’re asking for your support. Any contribution, big or small, will help Towa start her journey in a place where she’s happy and thriving.
