Help Toodies Creek area Burnsville, NC Recovery

Hurricane Helene wreaked destruction and devastation in my immediate area. People lost homes, barns, livestock, equipment, property, and their family members. Power and communications may not be restored to this area for months.

This fundraiser will be used to help my neighbors in the Toodies Creek, Grey Ghost Lane, and Concord Church Road area of Burnsville, NC. We would not have been able to get out of the area safely without their help.

We will distribute supplies and equipment to neighbors who have worked, and are working, tirelessly to clear paths to gain access to, rescue, check on, and evacuate people in the area and, in the saddest cases, sometimes to recover bodies. Your donations will provide supplies to assist these efforts and improve communications for neighbors remaining in the area.

Funds will be used for communication devices, alternate power sources, and fuel, maintenance and/or acquisition of equipment to continue their access and rescue work.

We are so grateful for the help our neighbors provided us through the aftermath of this storm and so saddened by the ongoing impact to the area we have come to love. If you are moved and able to do so, please join us in assisting with the long, hard recovery ahead for our community.
