Tony had ACL surgery on February 6th, a week later he went to the hospital with a high fever and throwing up. He was put on an antibiotic and sent home. He met with his surgeon two days later who sent him to the ER after seeing that his knee looked infected and that he had spiked a fever again. He was admitted on the 17th and was diagnosed with Strep A and cellulitis. The following he still had a fever and his blood pressure and heart rate were elevated and he was taken into surgery to irrigate and clean his knee in the hopes of clearing out the infection. He had one good day and then spiked a fever the following morning and there were signs that the infection was continuing to spread. The surgeon decided that he needed to go in and remove the ACL and anything that was placed in the original surgery. Tony is still working to fight the infection and will have to try repairing his ACL later down the road. Please consider donating to help cover the extended hospital stay and the extra physical therapy he will need. Thank you all for the prayers!
Update 2/25: Tony will be discharged today!
