Help Toni D’Ambrosia Fight Aggressive Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Update: Toni has had several complications winding up in the hospital quite a few times. She just got out right before Christmas because she had sepsis.

Toni has had to reduce the amount of chemo after many complications with that, and now she’s on her radiation treatments.

She’s fighting so hard, I am asking for all of us to try to help……any little bit will certainly help her financially and at this point, all we can do is help financially, and with our prayers and positive vibes being sent her away.

If you’ve helped once, please try to give a little bit if you can again, and please share so we can get as many people to help Toni and Nick as we can. We never did reach our goal, so I wanted to update everyone and let her know that she’s so loved and we’re all trying to help in anyway we can.

Thank you in advance. May 2026 be kind to all of us. Dawn

Hello, my name is Dawn Alberts. My previous coworker, Toni D’Ambrosia, who turned out to be one of my dearest friends, was just diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.

This is a ride-or-die girl; she needs our help.

Toni has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of invasive ductal breast cancer, stage two. Her first surgery is on August 5. Following the surgery, she will begin chemotherapy and radiation. It’s a triple-negative cancer, which means hormone therapy and chemotherapy pills are not an option. This journey is challenging, both emotionally and financially.

Toni is one of those girls who is so very kind, considerate, strong, and the most loyal person—a true ride-or-die chick who is facing this challenge with incredible courage. She is a medical assistant at UH Urgent Care, and her immune system will be very compromised; thus, she will be unable to work for a while. Her husband, Nick, is a union bricklayer and is her rock, her best friend, and her biggest supporter. I know Nick feels like he has the entire world on his shoulders, and he’s trying to be there every step of the way for his beautiful wife while also trying to keep the household going. Aside from her loving husband, Nick, Toni’s children and grandchildren are the light at the end of the tunnel for Toni.

We’re reaching out to ask for your support as Toni begins her journey with this breast cancer treatment. We wanna share Toni's story and raise awareness about breast cancer, but also to ask for your help in easing the financial burden of her treatment plan. Toni noticed a small lump on her breast, went to the doctor, had a mammogram, and sadly, this one turned out to be cancer. We want to note that Toni, like so many of us moms, grandmas, etc., puts everyone else first and herself last. So putting off mammograms until she felt the lump was something that many of us do. Please let this be a gentle reminder… Get your yearly mammograms, ladies. Men, help your significant other stay on task and encourage her to get her yearly mammogram.

Toni will be facing not only medical costs but also lost wages due to not being able to work for several months. Our goal is to raise funds to help cover things such as co-pays, medication costs, and living expenses.

Your contribution will ease financial strain, allowing Toni to concentrate on what matters most: recovery.

Your support, whether through a donation and/or by sharing our campaign, means the world to us.

Let’s rally together and give Toni some love and support and show her that she is not alone in this fight.

Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support. We are incredibly grateful for any contribution you are able to make.

And remember, go get those yearly mammograms, ladies!
