Hello everyone!
7 months ago I bought and ate lunch with a homeless man off Laurel Canyon exit on the 101. He was hard as a rock, on meth and never smiled. I didn’t care. I kept bringing lunch, took him out to eat with me and friends, to the beach, or on my way somewhere stopped just to say hi and give him a hug. What I watched transpire was a gift and miracle. Tom stopped taking drugs, his spirit softened, he began smiling and laughing and asked if he could join me going to church. 3 months sober, 2 months attending church with me and one month of employment in my event business, -it’s time to help Tom get a home off the streets. I have contacted services and the waiting list is endless here in LA. So I’m coming to you all, to help with the realistic finances for a security deposit and first months rent to get him started. I’ll be the credit and co-signer. I can ensure continued rent will be covered with his work I’ll provide, I simply don’t have the crazy up-front costs to get another place. (He needs his own spot vs living on a couch or room someplace.) For anyone donating I will be happy to share updates and invite you to the house warming party!
