Most of you know that I have been nurturing an ecoactivism project for many years now, and with extra focus since I nearly died in May 2018. When I was in the ICU, I asked why had I survived and what was keeping me alive? It was a very intense time that lasted a long while. I was in the hospital for six weeks, and I spent a lot of that time contemplating the meaning of life and my role on earth.

 

I pretty quickly got the answer that I was ‘still with us’ because of this ecoactivism project, Yes 2 Earth Now ; that I have important work to do and dying wasn’t an option. This deep sense of purpose has been incredibly helpful to me while I continue to deal with some chronic conditions that might otherwise feel too hard to overcome. My sense of excitement and commitment to the ideas I want to share with you, with everyone, and I do mean literally the whole world – and the novel ways in which all this can be carried out – all of this has been my lifeline, along with my beloved Mark, and friends and family who have been amazing. I am blessed. And I have started to delineate my vision on a website that is up, but still in development.

 

So how did I end up here, organizing a global DIY art & comedy campaign to save the planet? Truth be told, I literally had a vision some 12 years or so ago. I was on a retreat. I saw that we can restore our planet, with the help of all the world's citizens. And it can be a joy! If we make it fun, funny even, we can get to some good truths and get real. It has taken years of research to get to this point, and I am thrilled with the warm reception I am getting with all my early key figures as we get this big baby up and running. Thank you, helpers! The new 'Wild Economy' awaits!

 

I am seeking support to carry us for the next number of months, not quite a year. We are applying for SBA loans but don't know yet what the final story is on that; regardless, those are strictly for business use and we also have to move our household by November 1st. We are still looking. We need enough space for us (and the 3 kitties), as well as for our 2 home offices and some production studio space. I will be working on the Yes 2 Earth Now project, and in support of this and other projects, I am founding a non-profit institute (more on that later) and starting a podcast series called Tobey Crockett's Wild Frontier. It's going to be a lot of fun! And impactful as well.

 

Thank you for reading this far. This is just the very first appeal to our own circle of family, friends and supporters. Yes 2 Earth Now  is a very large undertaking, which this fund will allow me to focus on full time.
