Hello,
Our Emma Taylor entered this world only 23 three weeks into life inside her mommy! She came out kicking and screaming all 1 pound and 2 oz of sass, how ever was quickly placed on a breathing tube and has struggled to breathe on her own since. She has overcome serious infection, trouble feeding and a premature heart issue causing a murmur.
Now coming onto 4 pounds!
She loves her care time and her milk!
Emma is a true testament to the strength that humans can muster as we battle the obstacles against us and she shows us the true meaning of fight.
Emma’s mom had to stop working full time to be there to support Emma and stand by the nurses and doctors say in and day out. Not only supporting Emma but also there to support each other (herself and I)
Alyssa is a wonderful mother for Emma, she is caring and compassionate and when need to advocate…
She fights just as hard for Emma in times of need
Making sure she is comfortable and safe!
I lost my mother to cancer when I was 17 and the fall time was always hard for me, she passed oct 16. THE DAY EMMA WAS BORN! 14 years later.
How crazy and special?!
With Emma coming home soon from her stay in the NICU, with her graduation fast approaching and Emma’s welcome home we are putting the final touches on getting her nursery ready and the house safe for my family along with safe transportation for Emma.
With covid hitting harder then ever and Alyssa and I trying to be as safe as we can to protect Emma from any respiratory illnesses it is hard for us to throw a baby shower!
Part of the support will go to a diaper fund for Emma , for as we know or soon to know “ BLOWOUTS”. Emma asks for Huggies as her preferred brand.
Alyssa and I thank you all so much for your gratitude and good fortune.
Emma cannot wait to make so many new friends!
