Help to pay Saudi lawyer fee to #bringibrahome

Hi everyone, I’ve made this group on behalf of mum to try and help her raise money to fund for a Saudi lawyer to help with bringing her son back home.

For people who don’t know the story, her little boy, Ibrahim, was abducted by his father on the 12th of November and has taken him to somewhere in Saudi Arabia. There was a prohibited steps order in place for Ibrahim to not be removed from the jurisdiction.

Ibrahim was born in Manchester in 2016 and has been raised here in the UK ever since. He only writes and speaks English and his immediate family consisted of just his mum and dad.

On the 11th of November, she dropped Ibrahim off at his school at St. Luke’s in Frodsham at 8.45am. That was the last time she saw him. No final hug goodbye, no telling him how much she loved him. Nothing. She was unaware that any parents’ worst nightmare was about to become a reality.

Being the agreed weekend for Ibrahim to stay at his dad's house, she thought nothing different. The morning of the 14th of November, school contacted mum to raise concerns that Ibrahim didn't turn up to school. She reported it to the police after school rang, which led into filing a missing child’s report later that night. 12th November, police came round to take mum’s statement. Halfway through filling it out, they receive a message. Confirmation that his dad, Hamzah, had got on a flight with Ibrahim from Manchester to Jeddah, Saudi.

That little boy had so much trust in his dad who has just taken everything he has ever know away from him and most importantly, taken his mum away from him. All for what? His selfish reasonings.

Ranem filed for divorce last year. Hamzah did not like that he had no control or power over this. In his eyes, he was the one who was supposed to be in control. He was the man. He had all the rights. (From his cultural background) Well no. Ranem finally found the confidence to say enough was enough and she put Ibrahim's welfare first and removed them both from a troubled relationship that could no longer be fixed. After Hamzah being notified of the divorce, a few months later he filed for full custody over Ibrahim. A revenge scheme. As court hearings went on, Hamzah realised it wasn't going in his favour, after all there is only so many lies one person can tell before the truth being revealed, which it did. His allegations were simply untrue and dismissed. Ranem had EQUAL rights over Ibrahim. Again, something else he didn't like. So, what else could he possibly do to hurt her? Take the most important thing she had in her life away from her completely, Ibrahim.

Her heart is broken and empty without her son. She feels like she has no reasoning and nothing to give without having him. There's just a big void that cannot be filled until he is returned safe. To this day, she has still had no contact or update on Ibrahim to know if he is safe and well.

She has currently been accepted for Legal Aid to help cover the costs of a lawyer UK based but unfortunately, she needs a lawyer from Saudi side where she will have to pay for this as there is no Legal Aid offered over there.

We know times are tough right now and Christmas being around the corner, but we would forever be grateful for everyone’s support in raising money to help fight to reunite her and her son back together.
