Dear Friends,
In Haiti, only 51% of the rural population had access to an improved water source, whereas, only 10% of the population had access to improved sanitation in 2010.
This lack of water and sanitation services contributed to the severity and rapid spread of the ongoing cholera epidemic that began in Haiti in October 2010, and had resulted 8,111 reported deaths as of June 2, 2013. In addition, In the midst of a pandemic, the importance of clean water is evermore essential for this vulnerable people.
What We Have to Do?
MAGO ( Multicultural Action Group for Orphans), a Toronto-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping orphans and needy people around the world. MAGO is launching a fund to build a Water Well to increase access to clean water for communities in Gressier, Port-au-Prince in Haiti. This project would bring water to over 30 families, a boarding school with 120 students (many of whom are orphans), and travelers passing through. All proceeds donated to this fund will go directly towards implementing this project for Haitian well being.
In order to meet our fundraising goal, it will take a community of supporters. Are you able to support this incredible humanitarian project? Any amount you can contribute will make a huge difference, even $10. And you would contribute to save a life of needy people
