Help to build a bigger and better Community Hub in Beckenham

Catherine Benson is organizing this fundraiser to benefit Bromley Road Parent and Teachers Association.

The PTA and Friends of Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green need your support to raise £2000 to transform our beloved Community Hub into a larger, more secure, and

weatherproof facility that will continue to serve as a vital resource for our school and the local community.

The Community Hub at Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green is a dedicated space that provides free essential items such as clothing, toiletries, non-perishable food, and school supplies to families in need. It is open at the beginning and end of the school day for all who need it, but can also be accessed by private appointment during other hours, ensuring that help is always accessible. This is open to everyone in need of some support, not just those who attend the school.

This initiative has become a lifeline for many, fostering a spirit of generosity and care within

our community. However, our current Hub, a small outhouse, is too small to accommodate the increasing demand, and it is not weatherproof. This has led to damage to some of the

donated winter coats and other essentials, limiting our ability to serve families and our community effectively.

We are committed to creating a larger, more secure wooden structure, located outside the front office of Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green.

This new Hub will provide:

 Increased storage space for donations to ensure we can keep up with growing community needs.
Better protection from weather conditions, so every item remains in excellent condition.
Improved accessibility for all families.

The £2000 we are aiming to raise will cover the cost of:

 Materials needed to build the new wooden structure.
 Labour costs for its construction.
 Any remaining funds will be used to purchase additional everyday essentials for families in need.
