TJ is a devoted single father who has spent nearly 20 years serving southeast Oklahoma as an EMS professional and firefighter. He’s always been the first to help others, working in Pittsburg, Atoka, and surrounding communities, and mentoring countless people in emergency services and fire. Despite his selfless nature, TJ is the kind of person who would never ask for help for himself.

Recently, TJ and his family faced a devastating house fire that left their home a total loss. Thankfully, TJ, his teenage son, his son’s girlfriend, his daughter, and their pets all made it out safely. This tragedy comes on the heels of a tornado that hit them earlier this spring, making this year especially challenging for the family. Right now, they’re staying with TJ’s parents as they try to rebuild their lives from scratch.

The family lost all of their clothing, household items, furniture, and daily essentials. They need support to replace these basics and to cover meals and other urgent needs as they get back on their feet.
