Help TJ while he fights for his life

Hi, my name is Justine and I want to tell you about TJ. He is my new son-in-law and he is a kind, thoughtful family man. But on February 28, 2024 our families lives were turned upside down by 4 gunshots.
TJ married my daughter Krystal in October of 2022 and just celebrated their first anniversary, combining her 5 children and his 4 children, taking on the responsibility and happy to do so. They all are a strong family unit and they both make sure that school comes first for their children's futures. At the time of this senseless incident TJ was working as a mover and providing for his family and always calling his wife on the phone, they were inseparable. They both have found a soulmate in each other and have a wonderful future ahead of them, when an awful person showed up at his families apartment building. TJ knowing his family was near was trying to make sure people who were not supposed to be there left the premises. After confronting this irresponsible person, TJ was shot 4 times. Before anyone knew what was going on TJ was laying bleeding and clinging to life. The monster fled the scene and my families lives changed forever. TJ was shot once in the stomach, once in each leg and once in the hand. TJ was rushed to Providence hospital in Anchorage, Alaska and the medical teams started the procedures to save this family mans life. So far he has lost as much intestines as is allowed to survive. He has a leak in his stomach from a wound that they cannot do surgery on. He has a fracture in his spine. He was in a medical induced coma for weeks, he has a colostomy bag for the rest of his life. My grandchildren and daughter were told twice to say goodbye to him because they could not save him. As they were being told this, my daughter Krystal stayed by his side as long as the hospital would let her stay and advocate for her husband and tell all the Nay Sayers to speak negative outside of his room so he did not hear it.
After doing everything that Providence could, they contacted Harborview hospital in Seattle and spoke with the medical team there, this was his last hope or lay in that hospital waiting for miracles or continue dying. After fighting and being told after the first 3 days that he wasn't going to make it, he has been fighting and beating all odds!! They flew him to Seattle in a private jet and my daughter Krystal was fortunate enough to fly there with him because we could not afford it. After getting to Seattle there is no end date for him being released from the hospital so Medicaid will not pay for her to stay at a hotel. After 9 pm she has to leave the hospital. Krystal asked the social worker to help so they have paid for the hotel until the April 18, but after that she is on her own. She will not leave his side and that is what a soulmate does.
It has been emotionally draining and financially distressing as well, on top of already trying to make ends meet before this happened. That's why I have set up this campaign, to raise funds to help cover expenses at home in Alaska now and in the future. The overbearing cost of medical expenses not covered by Medicaid. 3 grandkids are graduating in May and 2 are starting college in the fall, and overall living expenses, most importantly their rent and utilities since there has been no income since Feb 28, 2024.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in our ability to overcome this as a family. The generosity from those of you who are willing and able to help will not only ease the financial burden on all of us, but will also provide us with the hope and strength needed to face each day with hope and courage.

Thank you
