Help Tiverton Rugby Club upgrade our floodlighting
Don protégé
We are attempting to raise £25,000 to cover all costs associated with the upgrade of the Tiverton Rugby Club main pitch floodlighting. In securing this funding, we can continue to provide a safe night-time environment for training and matches.
The intention is to replace all the existing fittings and bulbs on the four posts with up-to-date LED lighting, and we have engaged a local company, and one of the Club's sponsors, EcoVale SW Limited, to carry out the work.
The existing lighting is now very expensive to maintain, with the cost of electricity, and the bulbs themselves doubling in price over the past three years. The replacement LED units will not only be much more efficient and cheaper to run, but also substantially more environmentally friendly.
The club uses the lights at least four times a week during the season, to enable the senior and junior teams to train, as well as playing several games under the lights during the same period. These include both senior and junior fixtures including recently hosting Blundells School vs Kingsley School showing we are very much a community club for all of Tiverton and surrounding areas. For those who attend our annual fireworks night, you will also have seen the lights used to assist the organisers in hosting the event.
Any donation, big or small, will be hugely appreciated so please help in any way you can!
