Last night, my best friend Tiffany, her brother Robert, and her parents Shelia and Joe experienced a devastating house fire when lightning unexpectedly struck their home during a storm and destroyed their home and all of their belongings. The fire, along with the water and chemicals used to put it out, left nothing untouched. Everything from their clothing and mattresses to electronics, sentimental belongings, furniture, and everything in between was lost in an instant. The family is now facing the overwhelming task of starting over, as their homeowners insurance does not cover the cost of reimbursement for their belongings or living expenses as they rebuild.

Tiffany, Robert, Shelia, and Joe have always been the first to lend a hand to others in need. Whether it was helping a neighbor, supporting friends and coworkers, or giving back to the community, their kindness has touched so many lives. They have genuine hearts and have always given back to those around them.
