Hi, my name is Tiarra Logan, and I am a devoted single mother of four young children ages 6, 10, 13, and 16. Today is Christmas Day, and my children and I are spending it in an Airbnb—not by choice, but because we were forced to flee our home due to a health crisis no family should ever face. I am asking for help after my family experienced a situation that has turned our lives upside down.

What Happened: In June 2024, sewage began backing up in our rental home. Despite months of complaints to my landlord (Invitation Homes), the problem was ignored. I later discovered our heater was blowing fecal matter throughout the house. My children were breathing contaminated air every single day. My kids were constantly sick—pink eye, respiratory issues, missing school. Their clothes were contaminated by sewage backing up into the washing machine. We didn’t understand why until a professional inspection revealed the truth. Our story was featured on Atlanta News First.

We Lost Everything: After the inspection confirmed contamination, we had to evacuate immediately. Movers in hazmat suits removed all our belongings—furniture, beds, clothing, toys, everything. Why I’m Asking for Help: I moved to Georgia to give my children a fresh start after fleeing domestic violence. I have no family nearby. I’ve been fighting: I won a court case, the Georgia Attorney General is investigating.
