Help Tiara Get a Safe New Wheelchair Van
Donation protected
Hi everybody! My name is Tiara Brinley, I am thirty-three years old, and I have spina bifida. My big sister is helping me write this, but I have told her everything I've wanted to say.
My mom has taken care of me my whole life. Until recently, it was just her. Now my little sister helps too so Mom can have a break sometimes.
I like to go places, and everywhere I go people are so nice. Our church even donated a wheelchair-accessible van for me to get around, which has been really amazing, except after years of adventures, it's starting to take a poop. It's not really safe to drive very far anymore. My mom would go buy one today if she could, but even a "new" used one is very expensive.
I love going to the library to volunteer for the kids, and to dayhab when I'm able, where I can do crafts, see movies, and even dance. I also love going to local concerts, festivals, church, visiting family, and anywhere I can get out into the community and live life to the fullest. I also have about a gazillion doctor's appointments every year to get to, locally and in Cleveland, which I don't love, but I know I have to go. I'm hoping we can get a new van that is safe and reliable and that has a lift that works, because Mom is getting too old to lift the door and push me in. It hurts her back a lot.
Anything that you could donate toward a new van would make me so happy. I'll even send a personal thank you message to everyone that donates. I'm ready for more adventures because I'm not slowing down. Thank you for reading and listening!
Love,
Tiara
