Dear Family & Close Friends,

I’ve been working nonstop to grow Chess is for Black Girls through volunteer programs at the Boys & Girls Club & beyond. It’s incredible, but it’s unpaid. I need help covering rent for just two months ($1500/month, $3k total) so I can keep building my organization. I've got promising collaborations coming really soon, but right now, I'm in urgent need of your support

What’s ahead?

✔️ I’m in talks to bring my chess program to a K-12 school, a paid opportunity that could be life-changing

✔️ I’m launching Next Move Initiative, a paid chess program for incarcerated women to empower & challenge themselves

✔️ Body Double Besties & my peer support client base are expanding, (the Finance Workshop Slayed!) & Chess is for Black Girls will be a self-sustaining 501c3 by the end of the year

And while my mom & Brazil’s mom have been so generous in supporting me, with the demands of the TV segment, volunteer work, unforeseen expenses, & emotional challenges, I wasn't able to scrape rent together this month. Landlord needs it by Wed, Feb 26th. He will not hesitate to serve me an eviction notice. But I just really need to be able to keep the momentum going & continue this work.
