Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Supporters,

On the 3rd of August 2025, our world was shattered when my beloved cousin, Yanique, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home and without warning. She was just 39 years old, far too young, and she leaves behind her three precious children, a 6 month old baby, a sweet 4-year-old, and her oldest, an 18 year old just beginning her journey into adulthood.

To them, she was not only Mum, she was their anchor, their safe place, their everything.

In the midst of our grief, Their Aunt has opened her home and her heart to all three children. She could not bear to see them separated; they need each other now more than ever. Their Aunty already has four children of her own, and while her house is bursting with love, it is also now stretched beyond what she could ever manage alone.

We are reaching out for help to make this transition possible for everyone involved. These funds will go directly toward:

Immediate needs like food, baby supplies, and clothing

Childcare and school support for the younger children

Mental health and grief counselling for all three siblings

Long-term stability, including educational needs for the 18-year-old, who is now balancing grief with new adult responsibilities

The loss of their mother has left a void that can never be filled. But with the kindness of others, we can make sure these children are not left without stability, comfort, and the chance to heal as they navigate a future they never should have faced so young.
