My name is Thomas, and right now, my girlfriend Tiff, her son, her 20-month-old granddaughter, and I are facing some of the hardest times of our lives. We’ve been separated by a series of setbacks that have made it nearly impossible to get back on our feet. It started when Tiff’s car motor went out, leaving her without reliable transportation. Not long after, the property we were staying at was condemned due to the owner’s negligence, forcing us to find shelter wherever we could.

Tiff, her granddaughter, and her son are currently staying with her mother in a small one-bedroom apartment, making do in the living area because most of her paycheck goes to childcare and daily expenses. I’m living in a hotel, struggling to cover the cost of my room and daily living, while also trying to help Tiff with anything she can’t manage. No matter how hard we try, it feels like we just can’t get ahead or save enough to change our situation. My greatest wish is to surprise Tiff with a place of our own, to give her and our family the stability and comfort they deserve. I love her more than words can say, and when we’re finally back on our feet, I hope to ask her to take my name, if she’ll have it.

The funds from this campaign will go toward helping Tiff get a new car or SUV, and toward securing a new home for us to live together again.
